The Summer We Started a Robot War

When three friends find a war robot buried in the sewer, their summer takes an unexpected turn. Powered by a rare fruit called buckleberry, the robot, W72A, wakes up with scrambled memories and a mysterious signal calling him back to a forgotten city called Iron Providence.

So they do what any responsible kids would do; they recruit the town’s weirdest adult, Fenwick, and hit the road. Along the way, they dodge enemy drones, unlock wild new upgrades, clash with a machine menace in a red cape, and learn that friendship might be the best power-up of all.

The Summer We Started a Robot War is a fast-paced, illustrated middle grade series packed with sci-fi action, big laughs, and even bigger heart.

W72A (Dubya)

As the group ventures deeper into hostile territory, Dubya shifts from passive follower to active protector, evolving with each power-up they uncover.destruction and chosen redemption.

But his true role unfolds gradually: he’s not just a survivor of the robot war, he’s the one who ended it. Originally designed as a stealth saboteur to dismantle Hawthorne Technologies from within, W72A is both catalyst and consequence of the conflict that reshaped the world. Now, with his original mission compromised and his sentience blooming, Dubya stands at a crossroads between programmed
