I dig the Analog Pocket

The Analog Pocket has become one of my favorite pieces of gear—and not just because it looks slick on my desk. Here are my top three reasons I keep coming back to it:

  1. Plays the Originals
There’s something unbeatable about popping in an original Game Boy or Game Boy Advance cartridge. The Pocket keeps that magic alive with beautiful display quality and rock-solid performance. It’s the perfect mix of nostalgia and precision engineering.

  2. Smart Emulation
I’ll admit it—I emulate. But I do it with purpose. I use emulation as a test drive before hunting down physical carts. It’s a great way to explore obscure or expensive titles before committing. And with the Pocket, emulation feels seamless.

  3. Design That Gets It
This device was clearly made by people who care about games. From the feel of the buttons to the quality of the screen, it respects the legacy of handheld gaming while pushing it forward.

I never had a Gameboy or GameGear as a child but if you are a retro-game enthusiast, I think the Analog Pocket is more than a modern throwback—it’s a must-have.
